Ashleigh Porter – General Manager

Ashleigh joined AIS in 2014 following the acquisition of AIS by BCI Media Group. Working as a liaison between AIS and BCI Media Group, Ashleigh was instrumental in the integration of the two businesses. In July 2016, Ashleigh was appointed General Manager of AIS, taking responsibility of all business operations across Australia and New Zealand.

During Ashleigh’s time working at BCI Media Group, she gained a wealth of experience in both the architectural and construction industries having worked as an Information Researcher, Sales Manager and Manager for BCI Academy. Being one of the founders of BCI Academy; the learning and development arm of the business, Ashleigh has developed specification training programs across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Ashleigh has personally trained over 3,000 construction sales professionals across hundreds of businesses, helping them to optimise relationships within the construction and architectural industries.

Shannan Golding – Assistant Manager Australia & New Zealand

Shannan joined AIS in 2009 as VIC Assistant State Manager, where she was responsible for graphic design and marketing for Victorian iFlex and Equinox events. Shannan was appointed VIC State Manager in 2011, where she managed all Victorian suppliers and architectural practices. In addition, Shannan looked after the management and sales of Equinox events in Melbourne, Perth, Hobart and Auckland as well as in-house CPD events at firms across Melbourne. In July 2016, Shannan was appointed Assistant Manager Australia and New Zealand.

Shannan has a background in graphic design & marketing and previously worked as an Architectural Specification Representative and Project Manager for a digital print company. Shannan also worked as the librarian at some of the largest architectural firms in Melbourne including Woods Bagot, Bruce Henderson and Architectus. Shannan has seen the Architectural Specification Industry from all sides and works to help connect, inform and inspire the design community.

Sophie Cadigan – Learning & Development Manager

As the Learning and Development Manager for AIS, Sophie continually promotes the importance of education throughout the design and construction industry – for both specification professionals and suppliers and manufacturers. Sophie oversees all Continuing Professional Development programs for AIS and facilitates skills training seminars for suppliers and manufacturers for both AIS and the BCI Academy.

Sophie joined AIS in 2012, and has since worked as an Event Administrator, and State Manager. In that time she gained significant experience working with suppliers and manufactures to create and cultivate relationships with specification professionals. Sophie has a Bachelors Degree in Urban Development majoring in Town Planning, providing her with an in-depth understanding of the design and construction industry.

Natasha Leyte – Event Coordinator – VIC

Isabela Jankovic – Event Executive – QLD

Isabela joined AIS as an iFlex host in 2012, and in 2016 acquired the position of Events Coordinator for QLD. It is her experience in retail that allows her to successfully manage current members and practice coordinators, as well as develop new relationships with architectural practices, members, and specifiers. Creating and building these relationships is a key focus point for Isabela.

Isabela completed her Bachelor of Business majoring in Business Management and Events Management at Griffith University in 2013. Both aspects of this degree provide a great foundation that allows her to effectively plan and execute all relevant AIS iFlex & CPD events.

Mika Meadows – Event Executive – NSW/ACT

Mika joined AIS in September 2016, taking on the role of Event Coordinator for NSW. She is responsible for planning all iFlex events and CPD Presentations with the states active practices, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with AIS’ key stakeholders. She strives to grow activity in NSW by bringing new practices and suppliers on board, creating and fostering new opportunities for both parties.

Mika graduated from UTS in 2016 with a Bachelor of Management in Events and Leisure, before working on large conferences and incentive trips for a global events agency. This brings a unique perspective to AIS and adds to the team dynamic.

Doni Clarke – Event Coordinator – NZ

Doni started with AIS in November 2017 following the acquisition of AGM Publishing, where she worked as an administrator. Doni graduated from Louisiana State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Art with a focus in ceramics, after which she moved from New Orleans to Auckland.

Doni’s experience in the publishing industry has provided her with an in-depth understanding of the design specifier market. Her artistic edge allows for creative contribution to the team.

Maddy Davies – Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Maddy joined AIS in September 2017, following her role working in content development and communications for BCI Media Group. She is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of all marketing activities.

Maddy completed her Bachelor of Marketing and Media at Macquarie University in 2017. Knowledge of marketing strategy, brand management, and digital production allow her to positively contribute to business growth, whilst simultaneously fostering mutually beneficial relationships between AIS and key stakeholders.
