With your lunchtime iFlex and Semi Formal Presentations, how much does it cost?

The service is completely free for architect and design practices and has catering included.

How many iFlex’s or Semi Formal Presentations do we need to commit to?

There is no limit to how many iFlex’s or Semi Formal Presentations you commit to, however we prefer it to be at least once per month in order to stay up to date with the latest products. However if if you think that is too much, every second month is a good start – we are flexible and will work to accommodate the schedule most suitable for you.

Can we pick our own suppliers to present at iFlex’s/Semi Formal Presentations?

Yes, we want to ensure you are seeing the suppliers most relevant to you and the projects you work on in your practice. We can work with you to select the suppliers that best suit your firm and provide options of suppliers for any specific product category you’d like to see.

Do I have to hold iFlex/Semi Formal Presentations at lunchtime?

No, we work with you on a time that suits you and your team whether it is earlier in the morning or in the afternoon.

Supplier FAQs

How many architects usually attend iFlex/Semi Formal Presentations?

We can’t guarantee a number as it depends on the firm, however on average 5 – 10 architects will be in attendance.

How long does iFlex/Semi Formal Presentations go for?

We put in 1 hour as a guide, but some can go for 30 minutes or up to 1 ½ hours.

If I have made a booking for an iFlex/Semi Formal Presentation, can I cancel it?

Yes you can cancel, however you are required to give us 10 days’ notice in writing to the relevant State Manager.

How is the allocation of stand positions on the floor plan for the Equinox exhibitions determined?

Stand positions are decided on a first-in-first-served basis. The sooner a supplier registers, the better their choice of what area they exhibit in the venue. They will be asked to submit their 3 preferred choices for stand position and allocated a space from that.

Will AIS organise my Equinox exhibition stand for me

AIS do not provide any equipment for exhibitors and the price does not include the provision of lighting, monitors, tables or tablecloths. Suppliers are required to bring their own stands equipment and access to power is an extra fee on top of the exhibitor fee. This is outlined to exhibitors by AIS once they register.

How does the Equinox exhibitor payment process work?

For Equinox exhibitors 50% of the exhibitor fee is due within 14 days of registration being received and the final balance is payable within 30 days of event.

Can anyone attend Equinox exhibitions?

Only registered architects, designers, engineers, project managers, builders etc. are able to attend – this is monitored by AIS. Unless a supplier is exhibiting they are not allowed to attend.

How many people are allowed to exhibit at Equinox?

AIS will take up to 30 exhibitors for Equinox. This can include competing brands however we will ensure they are not situated near each other.

How many attendees do you get at the events?

The number of attendees varies depending on the city the event is held in. Below are the attendee numbers for various cities.

Equinox Auckland – the event runs once a year and usually get 100 – 120 attending architects and designers.
Equinox Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth – Run twice a year and usually get between 200 – 300 attending architects and designers.
Equinox Townsville, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart – Run once a years and usually get between 60-70 attending architects and designers.

What time does Equinox start?

The start time varies depending on the city the event is held in. Below are the starting times for each city.

Equinox events start in the bigger states (Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane) at 6pm till 8.30pm
Smaller states (Townsville, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart) at 5.30pm till 8pm

What is the cancellation policy for Equinox exhibitions?

Cancellations made:

More than 120 days prior to the date of the event – payment fully refundable.
120 – 90 days prior to the date of the event – 50% of event fee refundable.
Less than 90 days to the date of the event – 100% of event fee forfeited.
